Our audience is made up of subcontractors, general contractors, and other construction professionals who are focused on growing their businesses. 

Submitted Content Should Be

Focused on a specific construction topic. For example:

  • Something trade specific (i.e. electrical, concrete, flooring, solar)
  • Construction technology
  • Construction finance
  • Construction law
  • Construction insurance
  • Helpful to subcontractors in the construction industry
  • Written in a tone that is straight-shooting, earnest, and right to the point. That being said, much like a real contractor, it also has the polish of a business owner and construction industry veteran. That is to say: articulate, assured, and extremely knowledgeable about construction.
  • Posts should NOT try to sell your products or services. We are here to provide readers with insightful content, not sell them products.

How To Get Started Writing Your First Post

Search the Built With Billd blog to make sure your content is original. Avoid writing something we already have. It is more helpful to our readers if you provide insights and advice that don’t already exist on our blog. You can also reach out to pitch your topic and title and someone from the Billd team will let you know what we think!

How to Submit Your Content

  • Submit your finished blog post via Google Doc 
  • Include a short bio of 100 words or less and a professional headshot
  • If we can’t accept your post we will let you know why, and provide feedback on ways to get future posts approved. Our goal is to grow our network and relationships with guest authors which is why we strive to maintain positive relationships with guest authors. 
  • When the post goes live on the Built With Billd blog we will share the link with you so you can share it on your social networks.
