What is an As-Builts/Red-Line Drawings/ Record Drawings?

Throughout the process of construction errors in drawings are found. Therefore, the building is not constructed exactly as designed. As-builts are complete record of drawings of the final building, specifications, and work completed.

Final versions of construction documents that reflect the actual construction of a project. These drawings are updated versions of the original design documents, showing all changes made during construction. Interim documents, marked with changes and corrections by contractors, are known as red-line drawings. The official, final documents, incorporating all modifications, are referred to as record drawings. These documents provide an accurate representation of the completed project for future reference, maintenance, or renovation.
